Bovine bones estimated to be 500 years old discovered in Jongno

The bones of 7 to 8 cows were discovered at the environmental improvement project site in Seun District 4, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

It is unusual to find so many animal bones in one spot, and there are no particular signs of slaughter or slaughter.

It is said that the discovery site is close to Jongmyo Shrine and that it may be a cow related to ancestral rites.

After excavating the bones, we plan to move them to the National Gyeongju Cultural Heritage Research Institute for detailed investigation.
