Current status of Malaysian soccer player who suffered acid attack

Faisal Halim, the Malaysian national soccer player, was attacked with acid by a gunman in May last year.

Although he was in serious condition, he underwent four surgeries and barely regained his senses. After being discharged from the hospital, he devoted himself to rehabilitation with support from the club.

Although he did not play in yesterday’s game, he was on the bench and played his first official game since the terrorist attack.
