Genie debuted as a member of JYP Entertainment’s group Nmix on February 22 last year, and was loved by music fans around the world for 10 months at home and abroad, but withdrew from Nmix on December 9 last year.
JYP officially announced that Genie left the team due to personal reasons and terminated the exclusive contract. “I’m sorry for causing concern to many fans due to the sudden news,” adding, “Please encourage Genie who is going on a new path and give warm support to the six members who will walk toward their dreams.”
