When I lived in South Korea every grocery store had an entire aisle dedicated to different flavors of
Spam It was insane

I live in Minnesota – the literal inventor of Spom that is also home to a goddamn Spam Museum –
and it is not NEARLY as prevalent here as it apparently is there
Which is a little weird

Korea> The world’s second most spam-consuming
NarageSpam came to Korea during World War II, but it was like a gift from God to Korea and the Japanese who couldn’t eat and were hungry because of the war. Currently, Koreans consider spam a delicacy and popular gift on New Year’s Day.chaiwallah86
I used to live in Korea, but whenever I went to a mart, I could see the entire display stand filled with spam of various flavors, which I really didn’t understand with my common sense.- Spectavi
What is it that you’re being spammed with various flavors like you were being spammed by Kit
Cat chocolate?Tallpugs
It doesn’t make sense that it’s the entire shelf. Even if it’s very short and small,02K3001
When I was working in Korea, I always went to a grocery store and there weren’t enough spam ingredients because they were sold like hot cakes.General-Jen
That’s right. I got a spam gift set from my boss last year too.AJEstes
Spam is delicious when you put it in budae jjigae. When I first lived in Hawaii, I fell in love with spam, but only when I came to Korea, I realized how much spam is a great ingredient.-

Budaejjigae is the reason why I like spam. One of my favorite healing foods is budaejjigae.- It goes well with prudence 2001
Spam Gimbap too.- Dobermanpure
budaejjigae is my absolute favorite Korean food. I found a place selling budaejjigae nearby, and it’s delicious. I made it myself at home, but it doesn’t taste like that. I want to go back to Korea
– kappakai
budaejjigae has a really interesting history, so if I’m wrong, correct it, and name it budaejjigae because it’s a traditional Korean stew with canned spam, corn cheese, Vienna sausages, and canned beans, but I like to tease my Korean friends.Monkeyharis
spam is a delicacy, it’s exaggerated that it’s popular as a gift, but I don’t value spam
– rkoy1234
The delicacy is definitely not the right word to describe spam, but kimchi fried rice made with spam and seaweed is a must for everyone to try, so if you try it, you’ll probably thank me later.Cavely88
When I lived in Korea, I got about 40 cans of spam once on New Year’s Day. I took it to the academy where I worked and gave it to 12-year-old kids who followed me well, and everyone liked it so much. What’s noteworthy is that they were the richest kids in my city.- UnclearSogeum
I was happy that you gave me something as a prize. Whether you’re rich or not, it doesn’t matter. I think it’s a good example to show that everyone who didn’t live well in Korea respects food.beelzebub7777
Is these spam emails a gift after all?DarnHeather
When I lived in Korea, I liked to see Koreans enjoy spam because I enjoyed spam during my growth period and I loved it so much. In Korea, when I went to the mart on New Year’s Day and
Chuseok, people used to fill my shopping cart with spam sets.DudeAbides-420
I went to Korea in early February, and I remember seeing spam gift sets piled up when my friend showed me around. When I heard that many companies gave spam to their employees on holidays, I was shocked. I thought it was funny.Aeon The Conqueror
