National University of Transportation and Chungbuk National University selected as ‘Korea National University’ in integrated school name contest

Korea National University of Transportation announced on the 18th that it selected ‘Korea National University’ in the Chungbuk National University integrated school name contest.

The National University of Transportation, which held an integrated university name idea contest in April and May, received about 300 entries and then held a school name selection committee to select 19 winners.

Korea National University, which received the President’s Award (1st place), was proposed by Professor Hong Seong-won of the Department of Safety Engineering. The Ministry of Transportation said that it contains the will to create a national highway that represents the Republic of Korea.

The National University of Transportation and Chungbuk National University, which formed the Integrated Promotion Committee last March, are discussing integration through subcommittees in six fields. The deadline for submitting the integrated application form to the Ministry of Education, including the name of the integrated university, is the end of this month.
