Many of the lower-priced university stores have gone out of business
Cost-effective, low-cost, private restaurants have largely disappeared
Famous franchises took the place
Or prices of vacant rooms, food expenses, etc. go up dramatically
Inflation is big these days,
Commercial damage in the last two years has been too great
Other commercial districts are devastated, but this is almost a crisis
Severe places survive mainly in corporate franchise stores
I went to my alma mater for the first time in a long time among returning students and graduates
I’m often surprised to see the shops disappear
