(1)The bereaved family of the victim of the Itaewon disaster applied to the court to preserve CCTV footage inside the 112 situation room of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency as evidence, but it was not accepted
(2)The Seoul Central District Court refused to accept the request made by 30 bereaved families of 17 victims of the Itaewon disaster, asking for CCTV protection to determine whether the police officers who received 11 112 reports in the four hours before the disaster fulfilled their responsibilities
(3)The court reportedly accepted the police’s opinion that CCTV was not installed in the 112 situation room, and accordingly, the bereaved family is considering whether to appeal with an opinion that CCTV should be checked through an on-site investigation
(4)On the 18th of last month, the bereaved filed an application with the Seoul Central District Court and the Daejeon District Court to preserve CCTV and police radio records as evidence, of which the Daejeon District Court decided to preserve video recordings of the Central Disaster and Safety Situation Room of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security
